Panasonic has launched a new model from its slim and stylish Lumix FX series: the Lumix DMC FX500.

The Lumix DMC-FX500 has a 25 mm wide-angle lens, and a user-friendly touch screen, which even allows you to share your favourite shots with others around you.

The Panasonic DMC FX500 also features a 10-megapixel CCD sensor that works with the optical image stabiliser to reduce the effects of hand shake and help prevent motion blur.

An Intelligent Auto mode and Venus Engine IV image processor automatically adjust the camera's settings, selecting the most appropriate for a given shot.

Its easy to use touch screen makes it a piece of cake to take great pictures and play back your handiwork afterwards.

Zoom and focus facilities can be set by simply touching the icons on the screen - making taking superb shots easy for everyone.

The Lumix DMC-FX500 can even take photos in super-high resolutions of 3648 x 2736 pixels and record HD (high definition) video in 1280 x 720 pixels at a smooth 30 frames per second.
